The Volunteers in Sheffield Preview the Our Town Show

Posted by Charlie G on 09/02 at 02:30 PM

Last night the volunteers in Sheffield got to see the finished version of Our Town: Sheffield for the first time. Everyone assembled in the high school auditorium. I had a chance to thank everyone for all of their work.  Dick Knupp has been working on the show for weeks. Everyone wondered out it would turn out.

When it was over everyone was excited to tell others in town how good it was. We handed out posters and postcards to put around town so no one would miss the show next Thursday, at 8pm on WPSU-TV and wpsu.org. The pictures of the volunteers during their interviews are now in the photo gallery. Some of the people volunteered to come down to our studio to help answer phone calls for people who want a copy of the show. Viewers will be able to become members of WPSU and receive a DVD of the show for $75. for one copy and $120. for two. It’s a great way to support public TV and have something to show for it.
