Your Local Food Weekend for June 28 and 29

Pesto tastings at Tait Farm, a real live bison at the Bellefonte Farmers Market, the final June free wine and cheese tasting at Mt. Nittany Winery, and great live music at Gamble Mill Inn.

Sampling Saturday—Pestos, Tait Farm, Centre Hall, Saturday 10:00 a.m.
Pestos are more than just basil, and Tait Farms will prove that point with this week’s Sampling Saturday. They will offer up free samples of various pestos made from fresh ingredients in season at Tait Farm.

Appearance by Bentley the Bison, Bellefonte Farmers Market, Bellefonte, Saturday 8:00-noon
Ever get to see a bison close-up? Saturday you can get your chance to meet Bentley the Bison. After checking out the bison, you can find all sorts of fresh, locally grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, meats, fresh pasta, honey, eggs, baked goods, and handmade soaps.

Free Wine and Cheese Tasting, Mount Nittany Vineyard and Winery, Saturday, noon-5:00 p.m.
Saturday is the last free wine and cheese tasting to celebrate National Dairy Month at the Winery. You can also purchase fruit, nut, and cheese appetizer plates for just $5.00.

Grain live in concert, Gamble Mill Inn, Bellefonte, Sunday, 5:00 p.m.
One of the best places to get a local brew will host the local acoustic Americana band Grain Sunday night.
