The Our Town: Sheffield & the Valley show is being edited at WPSU

Posted by Charlie G on 08/17 at 02:23 PM

Dick Knupp is busy at work at WPSU editing the community volunteer’s videos and adding their comments to create the many different stories that will make up Our Town: Sheffield and the Valley. We are more than half way finished. There are photos of Dick working in the editing room in the photo gallery for Our Town: Sheffield. The show will be broadcast on Thursday, September 10th at 8pm on WPSU and wpsu.org. People will be able to see it on TV in Pennsylvania and on their computers anywhere in the world, that night. Let Sheffield fans know that they can see the show.

Here is how the editing goes. After our day of videotaping in Sheffield on July 25th we came back to the station and transfered all of the interviews and videos into a computer. Dick combines the audio and video together into individual stories. Those stories are combined into three segments that make up the the whole program.

Members of the community will be will be in the WPSU studios on September 10th at 8pm, when it airs to answer the phones for people calling in to support WPSU and receive a copy of the program. For those who do not receive WPSU on there cable or satellite receiver there will be special viewing parties created the night that it is broadcast. Check the Valley Voice for the latest information.
