Our Town: Emporium—Still room for volunteers!

Posted by Jessica on 04/19 at 11:48 AM

What a fantastic show “Our Town: Emporium” is shaping up to be! Last night about 20 community volunteers came to the fire department to meet and exchange ideas on what stories should be included in the show. Volunteers had a brief training on how to shape their stories, then signed up for times for their on-camera interviews on Saturday, April 28th at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and Artisan Center.

Folks have signed up to tell a wide variety of stories—from Open Mic night at Aroma Café, to the story behind the murals in town, to the Emporium Country Club—with many stories in between!

For anyone who is still interested in participating in the show, but was not able to make the meeting, there are still interview time slots that are open and there are still plenty of stories left to tell! To be part of the show, please contact either myself (814-863-6224, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) or Whitney Chirdon (814-863-6634, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) and one of us will be happy to walk you through the process and get you started with adding your chapter to the Emporium story!
