Radio Looks at NOW, and it’s Pledge Week on TV with a new “Our Town,” and a fun documentary look at prohibition in Bradford!

Radio Feature: NOW in Pennsylvania - Monday at 5:45pm during “All Things Considered” – The Pennsylvania chapter of the National Organization for Women met this weekend in State College. One item on the agenda is also a growing but hidden problem in Centre County-violence against women.

TV Special: DOLLY: LIVE IN LONDON O2 ARENA – Monday at 8pm - Dolly Parton performs at London’s O2 Arena. Included: “Two Doors Down”; “Jolene”; “Coat of Many Colors”; “Here You Come Again”; “9-5”; “I Will Always Love You”; and “Backwoods Barbie.”

TV Special: OUR TOWN: CURWENSVILLE – Thursday, 8pm – Another WPSU production that showcases towns in the WPSU coverage area.  This “Our Town” looks at Curwensville in Clearfield County.

TV Special: THE LAST PROHIBITION WITNESS – Saturday, 6pm – Bradford, Pa., is the focus of this local documentary about prohibition-era smuggling of liquor from Canada into Western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania as recalled by eyewitnesses. Host: Michael Rispoli.

TV Special: MUSIC FROM PENN STATE: MUSIC THEATRE SPOTLIGHT – Saturday, 7pm – Watch as talented students from Penn State’s musical theatre program take center stage to perform classic and contemporary show tunes for a live studio audience in an all-new production.
