Centre County Farm Tour, Sweet corn sampling at Tait Farm, The Tommy Roberts roots rock it at Gamble Mill, and a food-focused art show at the Bellefonte Art Museum.
Centre County Farm Tour, various farms, Saturday, 12:30 p.m.
If you ever wanted to see where all that great farmers market and CSA food comes from, this is your opportunity. For just $15 per car, $10 per bike, or a la cart $5 per farm, you get a backstage look at our local farms and get to meet the farmers. Be sure to bring a cooler as there will be items at each farm for purchase.
Summer sampler—sweet corn, Tait Farm, Centre Hall, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.
Summer Sweet Corn! Join the staff of Tait Farm Foods for an informal cooking demonstration and sampling of dishes featuring ingredients that are fresh and in-season. Come, watch, learn, taste and get some great ideas for your summer table.
The Tommy Roberts, Gamble Mill Inn, Bellefonte, Saturday, 7:00 p.m.
The Tommy Roberts are a local roots rock duo out of State College that bring lots of youthful energy to their shows. From what we hear, their music goes well with one of Gamble Mill’s local brews.
Food, Glorious Food Art Show, Bellefonte Art Museum, Bellefonte, Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 p.m.
Discover beautiful works of art by 20 local artists. All artwork celebrates food and its role in our life, including a local food slant via paintings of local farmland.
