CSA time is here!

This week’s Local Food Notes include CSA signups, Lemont Farmers Market is looking for new vendors, Earth Day at Elk Creek Cafe, and a great deal at Mt. Nittany Winery.

- Now is the time to secure your spot in a CSA, as Healthy Harvest Farm is now accepting new members for their Summer/Fall 2017 CSA share. Workshare positions are also available. For more information on how to sign up go their website at www.HealthyHarvestFarmCSA.com. Act now so you don’t miss out on a months of fresh seasonal local produce!

- The Lemont Farmers Market is looking for new vendors. They are happy to accept applications for all types of vendors, but specificallyooking for food, meat and dairy vendors. - Elk Creek Cafe will be celebrating Earth Day April 22 with an all local menu from within 71 miles, showcasing our community of farmers and producers.For more information go to elkcreekcafe.com.

- From April 15-30, pick up a case at the Mt. Nittany Winery and receive a 10 percent discount on the first case, including 15 percent on two or more cases. New case club members also receive two complimentary wine glasses. Cases hold twelve 750ml bottles and can be mixed. If you can’t pick up, the winery can ship to anywhere in PA. Shipping charges are: $28/one case, $16/each additional case. Offer not available for online sales. Questions? Call 466-6373. Case Club Members are eligible for other exclusive sales events during the year as well.
