Lots of Excitement as WPSU Prepares for Our Town: Clearfield!

WPSU has already been receiving phone calls and emails from Clearfield area residents with story ideas for “Our Town: Clearfield,” set to begin production with a public meeting on Thursday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Clearfield Hospital Home Health Building.  At the meeting, community members will volunteer to collect video footage and still photos to help document the stories about the people, places and events that make their hometown special. They will also schedule appointments to appear on camera during the production day, which will be Saturday, August 11 at the Clearfield County Historical Society and Museum.

No experience is required to participate in the project, just enthusiasm. We always look for fun, upbeat stories and try to uncover those unexpected stories…folklore, why everyone in town has a nickname, a profile of the local hangout, etc. This is an opportunity to capture everyday life in Clearfield and the people that you call your “neighbors” on video so that you have it for years to come.
