Kris Kehr Flies Solo at Zeno’s Halloween Night

Posted by Ryan Chase on 10/30 at 11:59 AM

On Sunday, October 31st, Kris Kehr will perform a solo acoustic set at Zeno’s. This will be one of the few live shows Kehr plays alone. He usually collaborates with James Harton and John Kennedy in Kris Kehr and the Stone Poets, formed when he moved to State College four years ago. (The band also includes Matt Cullen on drums and Dave Mudgett on guitar.)

Kehr has also dabbled in other musical outfits throughout his career, including the Recipe, where he had the opportunity to jam with members of Phish and The Grateful Dead.

By himself, Kehr sheds the bluegrass, country, and soul inspirations of the band and focuses on the primal condition of his songs. He’ll showcase a more intimate side of himself and his music, contrasting what he typically does.

Fans of acoustic music, as well as of the band Kris Kehr and the Stone Poets, are bound to enjoy this solo acoustic set.
