Iggy Azalea Releases New Club Banger “Leave It”

Posted by Jessica Gold on 12/09 at 05:07 PM

23-year-old Australian rapper, Iggy Azalea, just released a hot new jam produced by DJ Mustard, according to Global Grind. It’s called “Leave It,” and the bass on the track is crazy. It will definitely have your speakers bumping. It’s a pretty simple song but the flow of her bars and the hook make it very catchy.

The production of the song sounds like a mixture between Trevor Jackson’s single, “Drop It” and Yo Gotti’s “Act Right.” I can definitely see this song being played in clubs and at parties because it’ll have you up and dancing as soon as the beat drops. Azalea’s rapping style is unique and distinct. As soon as she opens her mouth it’s easy to tell it’s her rapping. She kind of sounds like she has a southern accent although she’s an Aussie. She puts emphasis on her words, so every word is understood.

In case you aren’t familiar with Azalea, she opened during the Aussie leg of Beyonce’s “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” and is known for her songs: “Work,” “Bounce” and “Murda Business.” In March 2014, Azalea is set to release her debut album, The New Classic, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

What do you think about “Leave It?” Listen below:
