Get Ready for the Weekend with Icona Pop

Posted by Brittany Barth on 10/26 at 04:43 PM

Need a new jam to get you fired up for the weekend?

Look no further than Icona Pop.

If you’re a Snooki & Jwoww fan I have no doubt that you were an avid viewer of the Jersey Shore spin-off. While I was never a fan of the new reality series, I was a fan of the theme song MTV selected for the show.

“I Love It” is the latest single from the electropop band Icona Pop. The duo has yet to release an album, but if it’s going to sound anything like their single, it’s bound to become my newest obsession.

“I Love It” is addictive, fun and exactly what you need to get you ready to party on Friday night (as if you weren’t already). The single will also have you anxiously awaiting the arrival of Icona Pop’s debut album, which will hopefully include songs as awesome and party-friendly as “I Love It”.

If you want to hear more of Icona Pop, you can check out Chiddy Bang’s single “Mind Your Manners” which features the duo.

Bio: My name is Brittany Barth, an English major currently in my senior year at Penn State. I am a lover of food, John Mayer, all things nautical and cats. It has always been a dream of mine to be the lead singer of a (successful) band. After graduation, my goal is to become a Young Adult fiction novelist, but I would love to be an advice columnist prior to that. I am excited about graduation and what the future holds for me!
