Altoona Symphony Season Preview on WPSU-FM

Posted by Kristine A. on 08/23 at 10:23 AM

Brooke Welsh, Executive Director of the Altoona Symphony joins us for a look ahead to the upcoming season of concerts by the Altoona Symphony Friday, August 27th at 12 noon on WPSU-FM.

This hour of music and conversation includes many of the pieces you’ll hear the Altoona Symphony play live in-concert this season: including music from the Violin Concerto of Brahms, Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, and the Organ Concerto in F by Joseph Rheinberger.  We’ll also hear the Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saens, to be played on the ASO’s Halloween concert.  Brooke Welsh will tell us about the concerts guest soloists for the upcoming season, which begins with a special free Labor Day weekend concert on Saturday, September 4th.
