As a former Mount Union native, I look forward with great anticipation to the airing of this photo-documentary.  I live outside the 29 county broadcast range in the Harrisburg area. I am advised however this broadcast will be simultaneously offered as a webcast on your website.

I know the key people identified as primary contributors and coordinators for this event. I’m sure I know many other folks who have participated to make this event become a reality.  I have great pride in the rich historical heritage my hometown possesses.  I am further thrilled that it has been documented and compiled for presentation on your “Our Town” television series. Thank you for helping to make this vision become a reality and success.

I did not know about your documentary, however I wonder about the diversity that will be displayed in this documentary.  I see no named people of color having been connected to this history.  Therefore, let me know the status of this information.  When documenting info regarding Mt. Union, of course you are getting some needed exposure for this area’s history and real stories.  However, it is definitely important to get the story correct with the diverse aspect because it is an important part of the history. 
As a former Historical Society member, the diversity of putting the real information into perspective is really important.  Therefore, let me know what you think and what I can do.  I would not want to see a documentary that is limited to only certain parts of the town when there is some very good diverse history about Mt. Union and the industries that made it what it is now and was then.
If I can be of assistance let me know.  Also, I would be interest in getting a recording of this information.  Also, thanks for do our town mt. union.

Our family has spent several memorable weekends in Mount Union. We brought our children Maeve and Freddy (III) there for family fun and events. We have experienced many life events through this town with many generations on both sides of the family (Cunningham and Calupca) with Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Parents, Aunts, Uncles Cousins…marriage,birthdays, anniversaries, birth, sickness, and death. Some favorite activities: golf at the Legion Course and Pool, The Stone House,  Cunningham Compound, Division Street, Mc Donalds came to town,Treking over the mountain to State College, fun on the Juniata..first question asked when a trip was planned How high in the River?, getting snowed in ON PURPOSE, sledding down the club hill.

We will be watching on the internet on Thursday..Thanks Aunt Nancy for the heads up.

We are natives of the area but since we live in Atlanta, please advise how we can view the documentary on the web.

I noticed a comment from Fred Cunnigham Jr. If he is a descendant of Dr. Cunnigham - he is well aware that there were at one time 3 doctors in MU = Drs. Shatz, McClain & Cunningham. I remember 5-6 hour stints in Dr. Cunningham’s waiting room with my mother. Dr Cunningham would leave to deliver a baby @ J C Blair hospital (in Huntingdon) and his patients waited for his return.

John Hudacik and I once walked from Mt. Union to Huntingdon (and back in one day) along Rt. 22, with side journeys to my grandmother Lightner’s in Ardenheim, my uncle Fred Rupert’s farm and side trips through Mill Creek and Mapleton. We had plenty of offers to ride in autos but we insisted on walking the whole trip. Try that today !
