Two great holiday events for wine-lovers
Posted by Linda Weaver on 12/03, 2015 at 11:21 AM
Here’s two wine-related holiday season events from Mt. Nittany Vineyard & Winery:
A Heartland Christmas with the Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail, various locations, Dec. 5-6
Take a trip back in time to when Christmas was a wonder to behold. As part of this wine tour, enjoy handmade gifts, family time, and drinks to celebrate this festive time of year. A Heartland Christmas celebrates the season with a different ornament from each of the Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail wineries.
A grapevine wreath starts your journey. You will stop at each winery to taste their latest offerings of the best that local wineries have to offer. Then receive a different crafted ornament from each winery to decorate your grapevine wreath. Also, receive a 10 percent discount on your wine purchases at participating wineries and a complimentary souvenir wine glass.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at you local winery anytime or online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2221966 .
Participating wineries:
Armstrong Valley, Benigna’s Creek, Broad Mountain, Brookmere, Buddy Boy, Fero, Happy Valley, Juniata Valley, Mt. Nittany Vineyard & Winery, Olivero’s, Red Shale Ridge, Seven Mountains, Shade Mountain, Spyglass Ridge, Winery at Hunters Valley.
Mulled Wine & Gingerbread Holiday Open House, Mt. Nittany Winery, Dec. 12 & 13 from noon-4:00 p.m.
See the winery in its seasonal finery and get in the holiday mood with Christmas music, hot mulled wines, and holiday sweets. We offer wine boxes you can customize and many locally-made food and gift items that will be appreciated by everyone on your holiday list–a fun way to knock off some holiday shopping in a fun and festive atmosphere!
