I Believe in Locally Grown Food
Posted by Emily Wiley on 07/07, 2010 at 01:59 PM
“Last night I ate a salad of radishes, field greens, and asparagus. The ingredients never sat in a grocery store. Less than two days ago they were still stuck in the ground. ”
Michele Marchetti lives in State College, is a CSA member of Tait Farm in Centre Hall, and contributes to the website Homegrown Happy Valley.
Last year Michele shared her passion for local food with WPSU’s This I Believe series. Listen to her essay and find out what she considers comfort food.
