Greenmore Gardens to offer winter CSA shares

Posted by Jamie Oberdick on 11/17 at 08:50 AM

Greens growing last winter at Greenmore Garden.

Those who would love to get local vegetables while the ground’s frozen and the snow flies can do so via Greenmore Gardens winter CSA share program. The farm will be offering carrots, beets, spinach, mixed greens, herbs, collards, kale, chard, peas, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and, believe it or not, they are going to try tomatoes.

Pickup of shares can be done at two locations, including the farm itself, located just off Route 550 in Halfmoon Township. The share will begin Dec. 2 and last through April 22, with pickups every other Tuesday.

Each pickup is spaced at two week intervals. Greenmore Farms says this breakup of winter share distribution ensures that you will receive the best produce available through the winter from our farm. This also give them a little wiggle room with the harsh winter that is expected. Rather than a market style that we set up in the summer, we will have your share boxed (with 7-10 items each week) and ready for a quick pickup.

Sharecost is $300.00 for a Custom Share Credit. You can place your order on their Virtual Farmers Market. For those of you who like the mystery and surprise of a regular share, we can offer a farmers choice option.

If applicable, please remember to use your member renewal discount when placing your order (-$15.00).

You can sign up online or mail a check to:
