PA Inside Out: Issues: Post-Katrina Education Efforts

Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, countless students were displaced from their homes and schools. How will our government help these individuals and continue to afford them the education they deserve? Join host Patty Satalia, along with guests Ray Suarez and Frank Mayadas, for a discussion on the role of the media and online learning in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Suarez is a senior correspondent for "The NewsHour" on PBS and formerly hosted NPR's nationwide call-in program, "Talk of the Nation." Mayadas is program director for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which provides millions of dollars in grant support to more than 50 institutions of higher education for online learning.
