Pennsylvania Inside Out: Blood Donations

Blacks comprise nearly 13 percent of this country's population, but the Red Cross says they represent less than one percent of blood donors, creating a problem for matching blood donations that can be critical to providing the life-saving treatment for people suffering from such illnesses as sickle cell disease. Also, "Pennsylvania Inside Out" visits a central Pennsylvania business that's helping combat the cost of electricity and talks with Eileen Wise, the director of Smart Start, a program designed to prepare children for school.
