Pennsylvania Inside Out: Beth Shalom Synagogue

Many people have heard of Falling Water, the serene architectural creation of famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright also designed the Beth Sholom Synagogue just outside of Philadelphia. Join us for a tour of this historic building, and find out more about the history of America’s religious architecture as “Pennsylvania Inside Out” gets a sneak preview of a new PBS documentary, “America’s Houses of Worship.” This year marks the 61st anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps. “Pennsylvania Inside Out” joins the State College Choral Society as it brings to life the voices of millions of Jewish concentration camp inhabitants. Back by popular demand, “Voices of the Holocaust” will be performed on Sunday, December 11th in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at Penn State, and will include original music from the ghettos and camps.
