Pennsylvania Inside Out: Affordable Housing

Housing is considered "affordable" if a family pays no more than 30% of its monthly income for total housing costs. In Pennsylvania, at least one in four residents find it difficult to bridge the gap between their wages and increased housing costs. The average price of a home in many parts of the state is now more than $175,000. With stagnant wages and increased housing costs, how can families find affordable housing?
