Ring up your best friends and join WPSU for a bus trip to see the Costumes of Downton Abbey, at the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware!

Immerse yourself in the grandeur of early 20th century English aristocracy with WPSU’s one-day excursion into the world of “Downton Abbey.”

Your arrival at Winterthur Museum begins with a delectable brunch in the Garden Café surrounded by views of the estate’s lush gardens and green rolling hills.

Brunch is followed by a tour of the “Costumes of Downton Abbey.” From Lady Edith’s wedding gown to the scarlet dress Lady Mary wore when Matthew proposed, Henry Francis DuPont’s grand estate, Winterthur Museum and Gardens, exclusively displays forty historically inspired costumes from the award-winning television drama, “Downton Abbey”.

After viewing the impeccably made costumes, you will have the opportunity to tour Winterthur Museum’s premier exhibits and take a tram tour to experience gorgeous gardens, weather permitting.

Reboard your Fullington coach to be transported to the historic Hotel du Pont where you will be served an elegant High Tea fit for the Dowager Countess of Grantham. Time allowing you can tour this twelve-story Italian Renaissance hotel which embodies turn of the century, ease, elegance, and grandeur and imagine what life was like 100 years ago.

$150 Inclusive Package

Your day’s outing includes brunch, high tea, dinner, your museum ticket and your Fullington bus ticket — all for a package of $150 with proceeds to benefit your community public television station WPSU.

Due to the overwhelming response to our Downton Abbey Field Trip to Winterthur Gardens and the Hotel DuPont, we have now filled all of the seats on our buses.

We sincerely appreciate the enthusiastic response to our trip and will be happy to take names and contact information for a waiting list, in case someone who has registered is not be able to join us.
