15 Minutes: Play Ball! 2

Little League baseball has a rich history. Its’ growth is a microcosm of American society. There are the highs of 40,000 fans sitting on a hill in Williamsport on an August night watching a game to the lows of a Danny Almonte incidence. This spring, a new dimension to the Little League story was added by Penn State Public Broadcasting's documentary, Small Ball. Lance VanAuken is director of media relations and communications for Little League baseball and co-author of Play Ball! The story of Little League Baseball published by Penn State Press.
