The legendary Isaac Freeman is considered one of the most influential bass singers in 20th century African-American vocal music. At age 73, he released his first solo album, Beautiful Stars, to rave reviews. Jerry Zolten is assistant professor of speech communication at Penn State and executive producer of Freeman’s album. Isaac Freeman joins Take Note by telephone from Nashville.
