Okay, so the weather right now isn’t exactly fall-like. However, there are still plenty of fall-ish things to do this weekend that are local food related, including the Aaronsburg Dutch Fall Festival, State College’s Fall Fest, and the Mt. Nittany Vineyard & Winery’s Winemakers Harvest Dinner

Aaronsburg Dutch Fall Festival, Aaronsburg, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

The Aaronsburg Civic Club will be putting on their annual Aaronsburg Dutch Fall Festival, featuring the traditional pot pie supper Saturday 4:00-7:00 p.m. Vendors, including those selling local food products, music, and kid’s activities round out the activities for this free, family oriented event that’s worth the trip out Rt. 45. Plus, it’s just a beautiful drive this time of year.

Fall Fest, State College, 10:00 a.m. Saturday

A thousand-pumpkin pumpkin decorating event, rides, a fun house, pony rides, food, and even a cheesesteak-eating contest highlight this year’s State College Fall Fest. Certainly enough reasons there to shut down the 200 block of South Allen Street. FYI, other sections of downtown streets will be closed of for plein air painting. Admission for the overall Fall Fest is free, however there is a small participation fee for some of the other activities.

Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery’s Winemakers Harvest Dinner, Centre Hall, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday

Catered by Hoag’s Catering and featuring an array of wine pairings, the Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery’s Winemakers Harvest Dinner is a showcase of local food and wine. You can learn more about it in this Local Food Journey post.
